    8. Coin Flip
  4. If the tied teams are in the same conference, conference tiebreaking procedure (taking the worst team for the criteria)
    1. Overall Record
    2. If all teams are in the same division, Division Tiebreaker
    3. Head-To-Head among Conference Teams
    4. Conference Pct
    5. Common Games Pct
    6. Strength of Victory
    7. Strength of Schedule
    8. Coin Flip
  5. If the the teams are in different conferences, coin flip.

What does this stuff mean?

Strength of Schedule (SOS)
This is a calculation of all of the wins, losses, and ties all of the teams this team has faced this season.
Strength of Victory (SOV)
This is the record of all of the teams that this team has defeated this season.
Common Games
A game is "common" if the tied teams have played another team. For example, if Teams A and Team B are tied, and they have both played Team C, then the game with Team C is considered Common.
Head-to-Head
The win/loss rate of teams that have directly played each other.
